This PDK was developed by AMF with partner Luceda Photonics, using access to AMF’s fabrication services and design tool from Luceda.
This product includes the following:
- Process Design Kit (PDK)—confidential, designed for Luceda’s IPKISS for the Advanced Micro Foundry (AMF) technology.
- It enables circuit simulation and layout creation for silicon photonic design in Python based design environment.
- It includes IPKISS library of parameterized photonic components and a circuit simulator, as well as AMF supplied silicon-verified black box cells.
- Most of the library cells have both layout and simulation model which enables photonics design from design to simulation, then to layout generation targeting AMF’s technology for chip fabrication.
- PDK User Guide—confidential, provides instructions for installing and configuring the PDK for IPKISS for the AMF technology. It describes these tasks:
- Downloading and installing the PDK, and the Luceda IPKISS tool
- Designing layouts with step-by-step instructions in Python Jupyter notebook
- Exporting design in GDSII file
- Interacting with other GUI-based EDA tools
