Measuring the performance of circuits can be a very time consuming and cumbersome task.This is especially true if there is a wide range of parameters that need to be changed while measuring or there are multiple parameters being swept in the measurements. It may be more efficient to prepare an automated setup for the test and control the test instruments using a computer. You may need to spend some time preparing the automatic setup, but in many cases it will save time in the measurement process.
